Project Description

After completing an initial assessment with regard to key LEED credits and prerequisites, The Compass Group assisted J Street Companies in obtaining LEED-EB Silver Certification for the 1212 New York Avenue building located in Washington, DC. This was a full implementation project, and the Compass Group provided project guidance and technical assistance in preparing the LEED application submittal.

1212 New York Avenue is a 109,355 square foot, class B, multi-tenant office building. The building installed an electric vehicle charging station to promote the use of electric vehicles. The building is in close proximity to subway and bus routes to encourage alternative transportation use. The building includes a fitness center and retail space.
