Ongoing Sustainability Services

The Compass Group provides ongoing LEED for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB) consulting and key performance metric services to the National Geographic Society. The Compass Group recently helped guide the Society to their fifth LEED-EB certification (LEED-EB v2009 Gold) for their headquarters complex in Washington, D.C. The headquarters complex was the first facility to achieve LEED-EB certification in November 2003 as part of the LEED-EB pilot program. NGS subsequently achieved recertification in LEED-EB v2.0 and v2008, and the Compass Group Team recently assisted them in their second recertification under LEED-EB v2009.

The Compass Group also provides ENERGY STAR building labeling services for the National Geographic Society’s headquarters building in Washington, DC.
